Red Dog Music presents Unique Beats
Who are we? Uniquebeats is an online community for all things electronica. Working alongside the UK's best independent music retailer Red Dog Music to bring music makers unique events based around electronica and music creation. Whether you create music on your laptop or are a budding VJ then we've got reviews, tutorials and forums for you to take a look at, and contribute to.
We want to create a community for electronic musicians, whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete beginner. The best way you can become part of this community is to join our fourms and discuss everything from new equipement and new artists, request help from other users and get to know your fellow digital entertainment neighbours.
We also want to give up-and-coming electronic artists a platform to expose their works and through this site you can sell your CDs or downloads. We will pass your songs on to as many people as we possibly can, e.g. websites, podcasters, DJs and radio stations. We will also be doing interviews with some of the acts. We will do all this, but you've got to send us in the tunes and links to your websites so we can get the ball rolling. Without you, we can't do a thing. We will also occasionally have giveaways, discounts and amazing prizes. Our site is free to use... what are you waiting for?
Where are we? We also put on events where we have up-and-coming and more established acts performing in a live electronica showcase, complete with live visuals. These happen in Edinburgh at different venues every few weeks. We also have a larger event every few months where we have workshops and live acts in the afternoon from pros from companies such as Abelton and Propellerheads and the we follow with a full on live electronic show in the evening.
Uniquebeats is NOT a record label, we're a community and a stepping stone for artist to get together and discuss music, discuss their work, form creative partnerships and generally have an open audience to showcase work and form ideas with.
